Frequently Asked Questions

All of my insured clients in Ontario have received reimbursement.

If you’re located in Ontario, Canada, and your insurance plan includes coverage for Registered Social Workers, it’s likely that you’ll be eligible for reimbursement.

While I don’t have direct affiliation with insurance companies and cannot guarantee coverage, all of my insured clients’ claims have been successful.

If you have concerns about insurance coverage, we can take the following steps:

  1. Purchase a single session and obtain a receipt.
  2. Submit that receipt to your insurer to confirm coverage.
  3. If coverage is confirmed, the session fee will contribute towards a package.

Absolutely.

We’ll need to have a conversation about confidentiality and informed consent as necessary.

Ideally, your loved one would receive individual therapy, with family sessions scheduled on an as-needed basis.

Certainly, I work with clients who face various challenges, including unipolar depression, anxiety, schizoaffective disorder, and schizophrenia.

My expertise in bipolar disorder has equipped me to address a wide range of conditions.

However, I do not work with individuals diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. I lack the necessary skills and training to provide them effective treatment. It would thus be unethical for me to accept them as clients.

If you’re in Toronto, we may be able to arrange an in-house visit.

No, I don’t, but I’m knowledgeable about the varied presentations of different mental illnesses.

I frequently provide notes for clients’ new psychiatrists when a diagnosis is required.

Additionally, I assist clients in Toronto in navigating the mental health care system.

No. That would be unethical.

Informed consent, in its entirety, is necessary for the client-practiconer relationship.
